| About the photographer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bobbi-Jean MacKinnon has been taking photographs for about seven years, inspired by the beauty of New Brunswick with its beaches, foliage, fishing villages and lighthouses. Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, she now calls Saint John, N.B., home, where she works full-time as a newspaper reporter. She also enjoys travelling and has visited several other provinces and countries, including PEI, Nova Scotia, Alberta, the United States, England, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Greece. Bobbi-Jean has furthered her artistry under the guidance of such reknowned photographers as Freeman Patterson and Andre Gallant, both hailing from New Brunswick. Although best known for nature photography, her portfolio also includes weddings and portraits. Her work has appeared in Maclean's magazine and the New Brunswick Reader, a weekly publication of the New Brunswick Telegraph Journal newspaper. She has exhibited at the Saint John Arts Centre, the University of New Brunswick and Handworks Gallery. She has also participated in group exhibits with the KV Camera Club at the Arts Centre and the Kennebecasis Library. About the site ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This site was designed to showcase the photography of Bobbi-Jean MacKinnon, adding to the exposure the work has already received at numerous shows and retail displays.
